It’s Christmas Time Again

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it once more – I’m a SUCKER for Christmas!

And as it is only 46 days away, it’s the perfect time to jot down my wish-list. Besides, I wanted to give Saint Nick aka “Santa” the heads up on what to place under my Christmas tree this year

I almost got everything I’ve wanted last year except for the sewing machine So yeah, I’m still lusting for it.

Recent Gastronomic Sprees

Some weeks ago, my dearest sister, Chat, was in Cebu for an urgent company meeting at Marco Polo. And since my place was only a few blocks away from her hotel, there wasn’t an excuse not to bond.

As I’ve mentioned before, she easily goes banana over shopping. But lo! She didn’t even spent a single centavo the last time she was here. I teased her to no end which was reciprocated with a mere smirk. I guess she had become a practical spender or perhaps she didn’t just have enough money at that time

Anyhoo, we spent some time in Ayala and ate at my favorite inexpensive Korean chain, Hwany.

For beerholics, this will probably cause them to celebrate. But for the likes of me who’s never fond of this bitter beverage, I felt letdown

Holiday Equals Pampering

All Souls Day, November 2, is one of the most observed holidays in the Philippines. It is the time when Filipinos get to pay their dearly departed a visit to the cemeteries. Every year, when I was still under the roof of my parents, it’s a must to go to my grandparents’ graveyard to say a prayer and to check if their resting places were properly maintained. But since I’m residing an island away from where my ancestors were buried, I’ve kinda excused myself from such tradition.

So instead of spending my time at the cemetery, I’ve decided to give myself some pampering – massage

And I must say every cent I’ve spent was all worth it. My masseuse was top-notch. She did a wonderful job kneading every inch of my body. It was so so relaxing

Dressing Up On Halloween

Well, not exactly on the day of Halloween but a day before Oct. 31 since we don’t work our ass off on Sats. Frankly speaking, this year’s supposed to be creepy/fun Friday turned out to be a bore as everyone else didn’t bother to don themselves with anything out of the ordinary. Majority of the office people showed up with nothing more than their boring self Just kidding!

The previous year was far more riveting, creepy, and lively than last Friday. Actually, it was only Jet and I who were game enough to dress ourselves up for the sake of  Halloween celebration. Well, at least, I had some fun playing a mafia chic for a day!

Happy 1 Year

Whew! Has it been a year already since I put up this blog? My golly, how time really flies. But I’m thrilled because I was able to keep this site running for a year and hopefully for the years to come. So, HAPPY BLOGDAY!

A Bad Hair Day And Then Some

I was wearing slippers today (ain’t it sweet I can just slip into my fave pair of flipflops to work?) when out of the blue the right strap gave in. Good thing I was already in the office! Still, I was in a major dilemma: how to get around with a cut off baffy? Nay!  Then, my ingenious self took over and secured it with some safety pins.

Of course, it wouldn’t last me a day. So came lunch break, I rushed to a nearby mall and bought a new pair of sandals. Well, the original plan was just to get a new flip-flop, but who wants it when there’s a plethora of gorgeous looking shoes, right?

Need A Throat Doctor Stat

I’ve been having some bouts of sore throat since yesterday So not good! With this pain, talking is such an ordeal. But I need to cope with it somehow *sigh*
