yummo!
Keeping up with our fast-paced lifestyle can sometimes drive us over the edge. Human as we all are, we need to pause at times.
Stop. Breathe. Relax.
And what better way to do just that than to retreat from the hustle and bustle of our urban living. A change of scenery would surely do the trick in achieving that much needed repose.
With that thought in mind, a trip to a countryside would be a fantastic getaway. As opposed to the hectic routine in the city, life in the country is pretty much laid-back: fresh, crisp air, newly picked fruits and vegetables, tranquil surrounding, and friendlier atmosphere. These are the very definition of a perfect sanctuary.

Kaamulan Grounds
Speaking about the country, Malaybalay, in my opinion, is an ideal hideaway. Situated at the heart of Bukidnon’s mountainous terrain, it can easily be reached by taking a two-hour bus ride from Cagayan de Oro City.

THE MUCH AWAITED RAIN

The weather was a bit downcast and it actually made me so happy. For months of dry periods, it made me appreciate the rain. Gloomy days are actually refreshing to the soul. So please rain don’t stop pouring. Let it rain for hours or days or weeks. I really don’t mind ![]()

When you’re hitting the big three oh, insecurities strike you in all directions. Panic, perhaps, is the worst feeling you’ll ever experience. It’s natural! Everyone’s scared of getting old. Who isn’t?
But when you’re 30 and single with no serious relationship, that’s even more daunting.
Frankly, I hate to dwell on misery. I’d prefer to welcome the life of the thirties gracefully and with a truckload of optimism.
I believe there are plenty of things I should be grateful for rather than get depressed.
I maybe loveless for now but never unloved. I maybe be alone but never lonely.
And as for the concept of getting a partner and marriage, I’ll leave that to destiny. Only time will tell
For now, let me relish the memory of my 30th birthday bash

an early dinner @ Chika-an sa Cebu

pastel colored bouquet
Would you believe they’re actually made of soaps? Uh-ha, those gorgeous flowers are in fact carved soaps. The bouquet was a product of my student’s creativity.
As an aficionado of anything artistic and cute, I was awestruck when I got the photos.

another bunch of beautiful flowers
They’re pretty amazing, aren’t they? Such talent can’t simply be ignored.

My day couldn’t be more perfect than today

my birthday cake sans candle
It actually rained this morning. For the past months, we had been in drought. And alas! The sky finally poured. Although not abundantly, it’s enough sign that dry spell will soon come to an end.
Since midnight, my phone hasn’t stopped beeping. It’s nice to know that people near and far remember me by on my special day. I truly feel blessed.
At 4:00 in the morning, I was awoken by my mom and younger brother’s call. Of course, they didn’t get out of bed early just to greet. It so happened that my brother starts his work early and hence the dawn greeting.
At 6:00 in the morning, I was still half-asleep when my papa called to greet me. Such a thoughtful father he is, and I’m lucky to have him as my dad.

Birthday Celebrants: JD and Moi
That’s right! My second eldest niece, Jhryfyll Dynnie (not quite sure if I spell that correctly), and I have the same birth date
When my sister gave birth to JD, I was overjoyed
It’s the first time that two members in my clan celebrate their natal day on the same day. And it so happened to be me and my cute niece

JD @ 6
So to my dearest niece, I wish you a fun-filled birthday celebration. Although you’re far, I’m sending you my love, kisses, and prayers. Know that your tita N misses you a lot and loves you dearly.
It’s hard to prevent crazy people from doing silly things such as these:

adults in their most quirky behavior
In the name of fun, we do a lot of silly stuffs together. We tease. We pinch. We get satisfaction watching over ridiculous, but entertaining movies (just like the one above). We spoil ourselves with popcorn.

working it
This is how shameless we can be. We cared not of our surroundings as long as we know we’re having a blast.
